Time to get those felting machines out and use the winter (spring, summer, fall) doldrums to start creating! I have assorted counts of needles for sale, this listing is for 24 cut needles for any felting machine. I have a Simplicity (has a little wider hole) and a Singer (narrower hole) and these needles will fit both. The standard length is 37mm or about 1 1/2", but if you need a different length just let me know. The 32-36 has 3 barbs per side and the 38-42 has 2 barbs per side. The Star 36 & 38 (4 sides) has 2 barbs per side. If you want to split your order up between 2 sizes, just send me a note with your payment or in an email.
Some tips: Needles break, that's probably why you put the machine away in the first place. There are tips for making that happen less. Always stop and raise the needles when you turn your felt. If you hear any noise or snap, stop the machine and check your needles. One broken needle can take out the rest REAL FAST! you have to remove the needle and the pieces it left. You don't have to replace it right away, but invest in a small needle nose pliers to remove the broken one. Depending on your machine, you'll have to take the needle guard off when you do it. After you've loaded your needles in, make sure they will descend with out hitting the guard plate, you may have to play with this a while to get it perfect. There are some good books in the library to get more tips from. Also, hand needle felt your design down loosely first before going to the machine, this will actually save time and needles in the end.
Thanks for checking out my listings. I have a Facebook Page under Bethany Arts where I show things I'm working on and upcoming shows and demos. Check it out and I'd appreciate a "like". Terry
These needles fit all felting machines: Pfaff, husqvarna, babylock, huskystar, simplicity, singer and Janome among any others out there.
